The more I listen to this young brother’s album I see and feel his vision on every track with every word he resites. To bad I can’t say the same for rest of the rappers out right now but brother (LUPE), man his future is a bright as the sun, and as a fan I’m just happy to see him shine.
I definitely agree with elvgero1. he may not be on the radio every other song, but if you juss chill and listen to his music, you see, hes the future of real hip hop. wow, is all you can describe this album as.
THANK U LONE! when i saw this album cover i was disgusted! the ‘Lupe Fiasco’ logo in the middle looks very similar to Arabic calligraphy. Fine fair enuff this lupe fiasco dude is/was muslim? But wag1 with the masonic symbols??? the triangle, skullz n sh**t??!! F**K THAT!!!
not to be a jerk or anything, but lone and Stino… if you actually listened thoroughly to the lyrics of the songs on the album you would realize that the three symbols around lupe’s name on the cover represent the three characters that he tells the story of throughout the album. the three characters are the cool, the game, and the streets. the cool starves for peer acceptance while the game represents trickery and deception. finally, streets is a woman that serves as the backdrop for the action presented throughout the album’s story and deep concept. listen to “the coolest” “put you on game” and “die”.
Great cover. very meaningful. Beat is correct in everything he says about the cover and its symbolism. I may also add that this is the best rap cd since the late, great Notorious B.I.G. He is the present and the future of rap.
He is changing the game. Finally… it died with Christopher Wallace but Lupe is trying to bring it back slowly… Epic CD. Thank you Lupe.
I’m actually appalled that Stino said he was disgusted to see Arabic calligraphy. Point A is that the font of Lupe Fiasco’s Food and Liquor was, while different, still Arabic in nature. Point B is that, god forbid, there are more than one culture in the world. And masonic? Are you kidding me? Get a life, my dudes
Even if the album is masonic y r u thinkin of it in reference to Lupe, when u should be thinkin of it in ref to the concept album. The skeleton hand is about the cool losing his righteousness, the locket belong to the streets and the skull is about the game. If it is Masonic its in ref to these characters being corrupt not lupe himself. As for his name its Persian calligraphy, he is muslim so get over it, do ur homework 1st youngins!
Man this album cover is hot as i don’t know what. I like how he he the design of the text in the middle and that skeleton hand at the top. and stop referring to his album. to other nonrelavent shit!!!
oh yeah! his album is hot and I cant stop lisen to it. what Im also crazy about is the cover of his album with his name “Lupe Fiasco”. I tried to write my name in that way but its hard. My friend said u could find some other words in arabic in there. but what it was I dont remember.
respect to beat coz he couldnt be more right with what hes saying.
i also think that the triangle with a symbol on each corner is meant to show the concept of the inconsistant triad, the fact that only two of the factors can exist together.
In religious terms its gods omnibenevolence, omnipotence, and evil. I think lupes tryna do the same thing with his album characters.
I dont think Lone and Stino meant the symbols on the outside so much as they meant the triangle with the circle and lupe’s name in it. tak out a dollar bill and look at the back, its pretty similar to the pyramid with the eye, which is most assuredly a free mason symbol
First off, to the idiots who actually BELIEVE in Masonic bullsh!t, those symbols represent the characters. The Streets wears a lock around her neck, the Cool has a “right hand that was all bone” and he lost his righteousness. The GAME’s represented as the freaking skull, but I don’t remember why. WHY DON’t YOU SO-CALLED FANS ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THE SONGS!
And BTW, Caligraphy is part of a culture, morons. YOU JUST GOT SCHOOLED BY A 14 YEAR OLD.
HOLY shit…the middle does say life of fiasco…
dude this dude is soo smart i swear..in every aspect…
his lines all have multiple meanings and they all flow. his story, both about himself and about the 3 characters is just SICK
i saw someone earlier compared him to BIG….respect…but….Biggie didnt do what lupe does…lupe doesnt talk about hoes, bullshit, money, party….hes true…whether u live on the streets or live in beverly hills…u can still find something from lupe’s song to relate to and sympathize with.
Hes not a G, pimp, baller, hustla, the shit, and all that
Not to burst your bubble hash, but he does rap about money every know and then. In fact, his song “Gold Watch” on the album The Cool is essentially dedicated to material things that he has in his life. The majority of the things he lists in those songs are high-end products that cost considerable amounts of money.
But I still respect Lupe even if he does rap about material things. At least he’s not as bad as Kanye. He’s just a sell-out ignorant prick with no songwriting/rapping ability at all. Not to mention, he’s utterly atrocious at using Autotune.
Pure genius, nuff said.
