R Kelly & Usher Stole The Song “Same Girl”

According to Mediatakeout.com, R.Kelly and Usher have been caught red handed in thievery from a group called “Nephu”, and their song, “Same Girl”. This kind of track-jacking isn’t a new thing in music, as many artists have been tried in court for the same offenses, most recently Beyonce.

An insider who is close to the guys alerted Mediatakeout about the song, which was never released, due to Nephu going through complications with their label. [Nephu]” has been working so hard to make it … and their song stolen from vets in the game.” “That’s the lowest thing that can be done to a group of young black males that on the come up.”

*Responding to an Internet rumor, the R&B group Nephu says that R Kelly and Usher’s current single, “Same Girl,” is actually the same song they recorded over a year ago, but it was not stolen by the superstars as has been reported.

“That is factually incorrect,” says R& B group Nephu’s attorney, Leron Rogers in a letter addressed to MediaTakeOut.com, the gossip Web site that recently published the article, “Busted: R Kelly and Usher stole their new song ‘Same Girl.’”

The article alleges that Atlanta-based Nephu was the original owner of the song and that it was used without permission by Ursh and Kells. However, a lawyer for Nephu says the group recorded the song over a year ago, but their record label decided not to keep the song for their album. Later, the song’s owners (the producer and writer) sold it to R Kelly.

“Nephu has never alleged that neither R Kelly nor Usher stole the song ‘Same Girl.’ This site has once again, printed grossly factually incorrect information,” said Nephu’s attorney, Leron Rogers, in the letter.

Rogers demanded an immediate correction and requested that the article be removed from the Web site.

Meanwhile, Nephu’s new single, “Weather Man” feat. DJ Junk, is due for release this week. Fans can preview the new song at http://www.myspace.com/nephumusic.

That is not true. R. Kelly did not steal anything. Nephu admits it as well. If you go online to myspace.com/nephumusic, you will see that these rumors are not true. The music industry works that way. And anyone whos smart enough will know that and not believe what these wbsites say.
